Description

Project Management Essentials (PME) is an overview course designed for those who find themselves on project teams or for new Project Managers with limited experience leading projects. It introduces participants to common project management methodologies and concepts to understand the relationship between project management processes throughout the project lifecycle.

What You Will Learn:

Through a combination of presentation, instructor’s experiences, and group discussion, participants will understand the basic project framework, the project lifecycle, and its components, be able to describe activities in terms of clear deliverables and effort required and understand project management terms to effectively participate in project teams.

Instructor(s):

Mr. Dave Snider is a project management consultant with over 35 years of experience leading complex projects in the high technology industry. Dave thrives in discovering innovative methods to deliver business results. Beginning his career at Hewlett Packard as a Facilities Project Manager, he led R/D infrastructure projects for semiconductor process research and development. He then joined the emerging HP inkjet printer business leading a diverse portfolio of projects and programs to expand (and sometimes contract) technology and production capability in North America, Europe, and Asia. His program team opened the first high volume 2 Snider Project Solutions, LLC semiconductor wafer fab in Singapore producing inkjet components for a growing global demand. In the largest company separation in corporate history, in 2015 he co-led a global workstream tasked with separating over 600 site locations that would become the two distinct companies of HP, Inc. and the new Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Dave holds a B.S. in Industrial Technology from California Polytechnic State University and an M.S. in Management in Science & Technology from Oregon Health & Science University. He is also a certified Project (PMP) and Program (PgMP) Management Professional by the Project Management Institute.
